Some recruiters/hiring managers program their applicant tracking system to scan resumes for key words (prominent or critical responsibilities expected from candidate in order to qualify for the job). When applying online for a job (especially for one you really want), it is good practice to revise your resume and ensure it has the same "key words" as the job description or job posting has (provided you are not lying about your experience & skills). That way, when your resume is being scanned, it is finding as many key words as possible.
